New CME Course: Case Challenges in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Comorbidities

Course Launch Announcement: Case Challenges in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Comorbidities

Target audience: Rheumatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physician Assistants, other healthcare providers who treat patients with RA

Rheumatoid arthritis is associated with an increased risk for mortality compared to the general population – and much of this excess mortality risk relates to common comorbidities, such as cardiovascular disease. Elevated risk for these serious comorbidities indicates the need for appropriate screening and risk factor management. And some comorbidities can affect the selection of treatments for rheumatoid arthritis, complicating clinical management.
In this case-based activity, experts in rheumatoid arthritis will illustrate the optimal approach to the identification and management of common and serious comorbidities in this patient population.
