New CME Curriculum for Psychiatrists on Schizophrenia

Activity Launch Announcement:

Clinical Challenges in the Management of a 20-Year-Old Man with Schizophrenia

Target audience: Psychiatrists

This interactive case-based curriculum features multiple interactions with Marty, a 20-year-old man who has experienced one psychotic episode and presents after being released from inpatient psychiatric care.

Included in the activities are current treatment guidelines for schizophrenia, common clinical complications, such as non-adherence to medication and substance abuse, and relapse prevention. Learners are given the opportunity to assess Marty’s clinical situation, request additional information to determine the key issues of the case, and prioritize the next steps in his care. Multiple faculty contributors weigh in on the case.
